I made pavlova for the first time. Kind of half of a disaster but up until I will make it again, you’ll find this post.
It was Tata’s birthday, Armenian born, Russian raised, sweet girl, so pavlova was perfect for the occasion. Only that…well, I ran out of baking paper so, naturally, the meringue kind of fell apart while transferring it to the cake stand. Still made it though.
And such an easy recipe. 4 egg whites, a cup of sugar, vanilla extract, bit of lemon, whipped cream and cherries. That’s it. So light, so nice.
But Tata had 5 birthday cakes. All homemade, all beyond delicious, all giving us the high. Sugar high is real.
