Salami Scallion Biscuits

I love baking, I love white flour, I love gluten! And I love more simple, delicious and savory recipes.

This salami scallion biscuits take 5 (if even) to make and another 15 to bake. Best enjoyed with fresh salted butter while they warm or just as they are.

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp cold butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped salami
  • 2 tbsp chopped scallions
  • 1/2 cup of cold milk

  1. preheat oven at 180°C;
  2. in a bowl, add the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar and mix well;
  3. with the help of a fork or a potato masher, mix the cold butter into the flour until it looks like peas covered in flour;
  4. add the salami and the scallions in;
  5. gradually add the milk until everything comes together; as with the scones, make sure you are not overdoing this dough;
  6. set the dough aside while you generously flour your working surface;
  7. roll the dough in a 3 cm thick oval;
  8. with a cookie cutter or with the help of a glass, cut equal pieces of dough;
  9. bake at 180°C for 15 minutes or up until puffed and golden;

Until the next one,
